Coca Cola Wakefield is the largest bottling plant in Europe, manufacturing and distributing over 100 million cases per annum. Shortly after a SAP implementation, CCEP approached Spring Coaching to support the transition to the new operating system at Wakefield.
The Spring Coaching team was able to rapidly diagnose the key elements required to ensure controls were in place to manage the crucial summer volumes required from the business.
Following diagnosis, we implemented a comprehensive and in depth intervention to introduce short interval control, leadership engagement and training. We also devised an operating system that was more manageable and less labour intensive, relying on real time data and fact, to maintain an effective stock mix at Wakefield.
The result: a dramatic improvement in customer service and relationship, a demonstrable resilience to changes in demand and the ensuing confidence of the site logistics team. We helped build bridges throughout the supply chain that have led to sustained improvement of every key logistical KPI.
